Over 100 people joined us, including young people from Mencap Liverpool, Liverpool Chinese Students and Scholars Association (LCSSA), Brothers of Charity, The Venus Centre, Thornton College Blackburne House, and The King’s Trust.
We were proud to partner with several key external organisations, including Merseyside Police, Cheshire and Merseyside Blood Bikes, Merseyside Fire and Rescue, and St John Ambulance, to make this event a success.
Attendees enjoyed an engaging networking session with our local staff, participated in interactive activities, learned CPR, and received guidance on how to start a career with us across our 300 roles. They also had the opportunity to enjoy a free buffet lunch and refreshments.
This year’s events were shaped by feedback from previous attendees, who expressed a desire for content tailored to a younger audience. As a result, we focused on providing young people with the opportunity to learn more about the ambulance service, the essential services we provide, career paths, and lifesaving skills.
Our Ambulance Awareness Days have been held across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, and Lancashire, with the Merseyside event at Devonshire House, Liverpool concluding the 2024/25 series of events. Our Patient Engagement Team leads the events and members are already hard at work on an exciting revamp for the next series, which will kick off later this year.
