On Christmas Day last year, our emergency service staff helped thousands of people. This included somebody with difficulty breathing, somebody with severe chest pains, and somebody with a serious seizure. They also helped somebody in labour, somebody who had fallen from a height, and somebody who had a severe allergic reaction.
Many of our staff touch the lives of people across the North West during the festive season and all year round.
You might think it’s only staff in our 999 service working on Christmas Day but it won’t be. We have staff in our NHS 111 service, patient transport service, and in our support centre helping crews with any issues they may have, and many more who will be giving up their time on Christmas Day to help people.
Do you know somebody who works for NWAS? Are they working on Christmas Day? Do you have a special message for them?
If so, please get in touch with us by emailing: [email protected].
